Technical Writer

What You Will Do

We have an immediate need for a Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our B2B products, which include payment processing, lending, Payroll, HR, Point of Sale software and more.  You will work collaboratively with stake owners, developers, and product managers to create internal and customer facing documentation and instructional collateral that makes our products easier to use.

Along with technical documentation, we are also looking for someone who is able to research our industry and create marketing collateral such as specialized white papers, web copy, social/blog articles, and creation of visually stimulating presentations.                                                                                                                                      

  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of our products and documentation requirements
  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
  • Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides
  • Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
  • Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
  • Create and maintain the information architecture
  • Narration of training materials, including videos and other mediums of delivery


Who You Are

  • Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation
  • Ability to deliver high-quality documentation with attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable
  • Excellent written skills in English 
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Basic familiarity with software development
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Experience developing content for Demand Generation purposes – web copy, whitepapers, infographics, blog articles, guest posts, newsletter articles
  • Background in development/programming
  • Creative background – an eye for design
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Financial industry experience
